Scotland fell to a 16-8 defeat to France in their opening match of the Six Nations. Fly half Camille Lopez kicked five penalties to secure victory for the French.

While Dougie Fife scored the only try of the game as Scotland pushed France all the way, along with a Laidlaw penalty, but conceding far too many penalties proved Scotland’s downfall.
