Livingston captain Jason Talbot has accepted a two match ban for his challenge on Hearts midfielder Sam Nicholson.
Talbot had tried to intercept the ball as Nicholson ran onto it, but the Livingston player’s foot was dangerously high and smashed the Hearts midfielder in the face.
Nicholson was immediately substituted and needed stitches in his head and face.
Despite the veracity of the challenge, referee Brian Colvin only issued a yellow card at the time. However, the Scottish FA have now charged Talbot with ‘serious foul play’ and he has accepted the two match ban.
Hearts won the game 3-2.
