Simonsen to learn his fate over betting allegations next month

Rangers keeper Steve Simonsen will learn the outcome of allegations of him breaching betting rules next month after the Englishman contacted the governing body, but it was not revealed if he had pled guilty or not.

Simonsen’s case will be heard by the Scottish FA Judicial Panel on February 12.

A Scottish FA spokesperson said: “Mr Simonsen has responded and that will be factored into the judicial panel hearing when they meet. That’s all we can say as this is a live case.”
