Nicky Riley leaves Dundee by mutual consent

Dundee have announced that midfielder Nicky Riley has left Dens Park by mutual consent. Despite featuring as a regular last season for Paul Hartley’s SPFL Championship winning side, he had been left on the sidelines this season and has been on loan at Peterhead.

The 28-year-old joined Dundee in 2010, under then management of Gordon Chisholm and helped the Dens Park side stave off relegation after being hit with a 25 point deduction.

Riley made 121 appearances for the Dark Blues scoring nine times. He has played four times for Peterhead this season.
