Balde signs for Belgian side Waasland-Beveren on season long loan

Celtic flop Amido Balde has completed a season long loan deal to Belgian side Waasland-Beveren. Beveren will be picking up the player’s wages, but there is no news on an option to buy at the end of the deal.

Balde signed for Celtic in June 2013 from Portuguese side Vitória Guimarães and was handed a four-year deal at Celtic Park.

The 23-year-old made a total of 20 appearances for Celtic scoring only three times, however he failed to impress previous manager Neil Lennon and now Ronny Deila has deemed him surplus.

Waasland-Beveren are 15th in the 16-team Belgian Pro-League.
