Former Hearts captain Marius Zaliukas has returned to Championship outfit Rangers for a second time in a year as he tries to secure a move to the Ibrox side.
The 30-year-old Lithuanian had trained with Rangers last September, but decided on signing for English side Leeds United ahead of a move to the then-League One side.
However, the defender has seen his Leeds United contract cancelled by mutual consent after just 15 appearances.
Zaliukas made 220 appearances for Hearts in a seven year period scoring 14 goals for the Gorgie side.
Rangers’ first pre-season game of the summer takes place at Victoria Park as the Ibrox side play against Buckie Thistle.
