Scottish League Challenge Cup gets new sponsor

0

The Scottish League Challenge Cup, which was formerly known as the Ramsdens Cup, has a new sponsor in Petrofac Training Services.

The draw for the first round of the competition will take place today from 2pm, as 32 clubs battle it out among themselves to win the lower league piece of silverware.

With the opening two rounds of the competition regionalised, 30 Championship, League One and League Two clubs will be joined in the draw by Highland League champions Brora Rangers and Lowland League winners Spartans.

Relegated sides Hibernian and Hearts will enter the competition for the first time, with Raith Rovers looking to defend their crown following last season’s 1-0 Cup Final victory over League One champions Rangers.
