Former Dundee CEO Scott Gardiner joins Hearts

Heart of Midlothian have announced that former Dundee chief executive Scot Gardiner has joined the Edinburgh side’s management team.

Club owner Ann Budge, speaking to the official club website, said: “Scot will take over some of the duties of David Southern, who leaves Hearts at the end of the month to take up his new position of General Manager at Dundee United.

“Scot will work very closely with myself and other members of the Board in helping to address the challenges that face us in rebuilding the business.

“I am sure supporters will all join me in welcoming Scot to the club as we embark on our exciting new season.”

Gardiner left Dundee at the end of last month after two years at the Dens Park side, and has spent time at both Rangers and Tottenham Hotspur.
