St.Mirren terminate Gary Harkins’ contract by mutual consent


St.Mirren midfielder Gary Harkins’ contract with the Scottish Premiership side has been terminated by mutual consent according to the Paisley side.

A statement from the club, said: “We thank Gary for his efforts for St Mirren FC and everyone at the club would like to wish him all the best in the future.”

Harkins joined the Buddies from Dundee last year signing a two-year deal, but after 17 appearances in all competitions [seven as a substitute]manager Danny Lennon sent him out on loan to Oldham during the January transfer window.

The 29-year-old made 24 appearances for Oldham scoring five times while on loan, and manager Lee Johnson has expressed an interest in signing his former Kilmarnock teammate on a permanent basis.
