Rangers take Ismael Bouzid on trial

Rangers have taken former Kilmarnock and Hearts defender Ismael Bouzid on trial and will assess the player over the course of the next week.

The Algerian’s season at Rugby Park was blighted by injury last season, making only four appearances for Allan Johnston’s side, including a 5-2 defeat to Celtic. Since leaving Hearts in the summer of 2011, the 30-year-old Algerian has made only 15 appearances.

During his two years at Tynecastle between 2009 and 2011, the defender made a total of 64 appearances.
