Brora Rangers picked up another three points on their surge towards the title, defeating Turriff United 2-0 at Dudgeon Park. First-half goals from Ross Tokely and Steven Mackay were the difference between the sides.

And it was a good weekend for the Cattachs as fellow title rivals Formartine United slipped up away to Buckie Thistle after a 0-0 draw in a game which included Kevin Main saving Stuart Anderson’s spot-kick.

The miss of skipper Michael Morrison didn’t hamper Nairn and remain four points behind Brora after a 1-0 win over Huntly with Martin McDonald getting the goal.

Strathspey Thistle battled back from 2-0 down to earn a point away to Lossiemouth. The Coasters had raced ahead thanks to goals from Jordan McBain and Liam Archibald, however a Jamie McKinnon own goal took the Jags back into it before John Ross equalised with just over ten minutes left.

Last years champions Cove Rangers and Deveronvale only had 9 players each on the park come the end of the game as they shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw.

It was also 1-1 at Harmsworth Park, Gordon Morrison gave Clach the lead in the 33rd minute only to be cancelled out a minute later thanks to Richard Macadie.

Fraserburgh went level on points with Deveronvale and have a game in hand thanks to a 4-1 win over Rothes however they did it the hard way as they battled back and a PA Bruce hat-trick set them on their way.

Meanwhile, the Forres Mechanics v Inverurie Locos game was abandoned with 30 minutes played due to strong winds, the score was 0-0 at the time.
