Former Rangers forward Nacho Novo has signed for Morton on a short term deal until January, after Rangers were not interested in re-signing him and after training with Kilmarnock.
The 34-year-old spent six seasons at Ibrox, before he left in 2010 to return to Spain to play for Sporting Gijón, before a spell in Poland with Legia Warsaw and a spell at Huesca.
The Spaniard’s agent, Alan Love, told the Daily Record last night: “Nacho has been made to feel really wanted by Morton who have pushed out the boat to make this deal happen. They offer him a platform to show what he’s got and Nacho is just determined to score goals again.”
Novo could make his debut against Hamilton this weekend.
