Ramsdens Cup holders Queen of the South travel to Airdrieonians

Last season’s Ramsden’s Cup winners Queen of the South have been drawn away to Airdrieonians in the second round of this season’s competition.

However, the tie of the round has to be in fife as Dunfermline play host to rivals Raith Rovers at East End Park, buoyed by the news that a CVA has been agreed with the club nearing fan ownership.

Rangers, who beat Albion Rovers 4-0 in the first round, will welcome Berwick Rangers to Ibrox, while Dundee host Forfar Athletic, Falkirk travel to Ayr United and Stranraer will see Annan Athletic turn up on the door step.

Peterhead take on Stenhousemuir and Highland League side Formartine United are at home to Elgin City.

Ramsden’s Cup second round draw:

Formartine United v Elgin City
Dundee v Forfar Athletic
Peterhead v Stenhousemuir
Dunfermline v Raith Rovers

Stranraer v Annan Athletic
Ayr United v Falkirk
Rangers v Berwick Rangers
Airdrieonians v Queen of the South

Dates for ties: Tuesday 20 August or Wednesday 21 August
