Anna Signeul has named her Scotland squad to face world number two side Germany in Essen next Saturday. Fresh from their 3-2 victory over Iceland on Saturday, the Scots ranked 21st in the world, will face their toughest test since their friendly double headers against the USA back in February.
It will be a major test for Scotland as they face off against one of the favourites to win the UEFA Women’s 2013 championships, which Scotland failed to qualify for, following a play-off defeat to Spain.
With the likes of Anja Mittag, Melanie Behringer, Celia Okoyino da Mbabi and Annike Krahn in their ranks, the Germans will be odd on favourites to beat the Scots.
