Youth Development Infographic: From pitch to goalposts to football size

The Spanish are arguably the best footballing nation of the moment, with players walking the ball into the back of the net with ease after seeming to play hundreds of one-touch passes en route, leaving opposition defenders on the floor utterly mesmerized.

Thanks to the development of the current crop of players, more focus than ever has been placed on developing the next line of talent of the ranks in the UK. Over here, it all starts with small-sided games with smaller balls and smaller goals to help develop technique at a young age before building up to the professional standard game equipment that we watch on the television or from the terraces each week.

This infographic bought to you by The Soccer Store shows how the game develops for the modern youngsters, from under 8s right through to senior football.
