Cyprus Cup: Scotland WNT 4-4 England

Scotland and England had to settle for a share of the spoils in their Cyprus Cup tie following an eight goal thriller. Turbine Potsdam striker Lisa Evans gave Scotland the lead on 18 minutes, before England came fighting back scoring twice in five minutes. England equalised through a Ellen White header on 40 minutes and in added time Toni Duggan scored for England.

Just three minutes into the second half and Jane Ross equalised for the Scots and on 53 minutes Arsenal playmaker Kim Little gave Scotland the lead for the second time. Rachel Williams equalised for England on 73 minutes before Kelly Smith pounced on a rebound to give England a 4-3 lead with just 13 minutes remaining.

However on 82 minutes, Emma Mitchell rounded off the scoring and bagged Scotland’s equaliser as she fired home from close range unmarked.
