Scottish Communities League Cup 3rd Round Draw: Rangers face SPL opponents


The draw for the third round of the Scottish Communities League Cup took place this afternoon with last year’s semi-finalists and SPL champions Celtic playing host to Raith Rovers.

Third Division outfit Rangers will face SPL opposition in Motherwell at Ibrox, while First Division side Livingston travel to Tynecastle to face Hearts.

Dundee United face an away tie against Queen of the South, while Aberdeen will face Dunfermline.

St Mirren are at home to Hamilton, while St.Johnstone play host Queen’s Park.

Second Division outfit Stenhousemuir will face Inverness Caledonian Thistle, after knocking out Kilmarnock in the previous round.

Celtic v Raith Rovers
Rangers v Motherwell
St Mirren v Hamilton
Queen of the South v Dundee United
Hearts v Livingston
Dunfermline Athletic v Aberdeen
St Johnstone v Queen’s Park
Stenhousemuir v Inverness CT

All third round matches will be played on Tuesday 25th or Wednesday 26th September.
