Glasgow City head coach Black reflects on Champions League victory

0

Commenting on his side’s win, Head Coach Eddie Wolecki Black said: “First and foremost we got three points. In the Champions League, the games should be tough and it was tough. There is not a better way to win a game of football than to come back and score twice in the last 7 minutes.

“I did tell the team that this would be as tough as it has ever been as a group stage for us and I think that was proved yesterday. I think people may forget that we have just defeated a team who were in the knock out round of 32 last year. We just want to put ourselves in a position now to win tomorrow’s game to have the best chance possible going into the last match of progression.”

Tomorrow, City face Moldovan side FC Noroc Nimoreni, who went down 6-0 to Finnish Champions PK-35 Vantaa in the other match of the group yesterday.
