Since 1901, Chelsea have had a whopping twenty seven managers, only two of them lasted more than ten years. Now you’re probably saying who cares with a pay cheque like that, but statistically most of the managers only lasted one year or less, with the average, since the Abramovich takeover, being 1.2 years.

There is a standard to uphold and since the Abramovich takeover the team have won ten trophies in nine years, that averages at eleven trophies per year compared to before the takeover where they only won fifteen trophies in a one hundred year period. So far the worst Chelsea Manager has been Villas-Boas who is enjoying a £14 million contract but after three months on the job there hasn’t been one single trophy to add to the cabinet.
