Kayal extends his stay at Celtic until 2015

Celtic midfielder Beram Kayal has signed an extension to his current deal at Celtic Park, which will extend his stay until the summer of 2015.

The Israeli midfielder joined Celtic from Maccabi Haifa last summer and in his first season was one of Neil Lennon’s best performers, however this season his form has taken a dip which some have claimed was being hampered by the on-going negotiations over a new deal.

Kayal told the official Celtic website:

“I’m very happy to sign this new contract with Celtic,” Kayal said. “I came to Celtic last season and I’ve enjoyed it very much. I feel at home here and I want to be at the club for a long time.

“The fans have been magnificent and I want to thank them all for their support. I will do everything for the club and the manager to achieve success.

“It was the manager who wanted me here and I want to achieve things for him, the club and all our supporters.”
