Celtic are set to sign Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama and Israeli striker Omer Damari, however despite transfer fees and personal terms being agreed, the red tape of work permits await for both players. Celtic have reportedly agreed terms with 20-year-old Kenyan Victor Wanyama, with a transfer fee of £1 million set to be paid to Wanyama’s current club, Germinal Beerschot.

Derby County have signed out of contract Aberdeen striker Chris Maguire on a three-year deal after the clubs agreed on a compensation package. The Scotland international turned down a new contract with the Pittodrie side, but Aberdeen are entitled to compensation because of his age. The fee is reportedly £400,000. Birmingham City last night signed Inverness striker Adam Rooney on a two-year deal. The St.Andrews side snapped up Rooney whose contract with the Highland side expired at the end of last season. Rangers are set to hand Northern Ireland striker David Healy a new one year deal to help bolster Ally McCoist’s options up front. Healy joined Rangers half way through last season, and was limited to ten appearances, eight of those coming as a substitute and scoring just one goal.
