SFL Division Three Preview 7th May 2011


It is a big day in the Third Division as Queen’s Park hope to secure that all important playoff place. But Stranraer are ready to pounce. Queens Park know a win would put them into the playoffs regardless of what’s going on in Stranraer.

Queens Park v Montrose

Queens Park are missing Jamie Brough, Stephen Baillie, Paul Harkins and Michael O’Hara. They have been missing for a while, David Murray will also miss out for the must win game, while Tony Quinn is also a doubt. However there is good news in that Andy Millen and Craig Smith have recovered after picking up knocks.

Montrose will be missing Daryl Nicol who has been in form for the Montrose side, missing the game through suspension, while Alan Campbell picked up a knock during training. Jonathan Crawford is fit again, while Martin Boyle faces a late fitness test on his hamstring injury.

Prediction: Queen’s Park 3-0 Montrose.

Stranraer vs Clyde

Stranraer know they can’t slip up against Clyde, Stranraer must hope Queen’s Park drop points to insure a playoff place.

Steven Noble returns from his suspension for the Stranraer side. Sean Winter will miss out after he was injured last weekend.

Clyde are missing top scorer Marc McCusker, who is suspended. Jamie McCluskey is out injured and has played his last game for Clyde. Meanwhile Alex Gramovics returns from injury for the Cumbernauld side who are trying to avoid the wooden spoon.

Prediction: Stranraer 2-0 Clyde
