Five people arrested over Neil Lennon Parcel Bomb attacks

Police have reportedly arrested up to five people in dawn raids targeting those who sent Parcel bombs to Neil Lennon, Paul McBride QC and Trish Godman.

Officers raided a house in Kilwinning, Ayrshire at 7am this morning and arrested two men aged 41 and 43. Another two men and one woman were led away from the house on Montgomerie Terrace for questioning.

Strathclyde Police confirmed two men had been arrested, but said they could not confirm the three arrests on Montgomerie Terrace until intelligence had been collated.

A spokeswoman said, “We can confirm that two men have been detained as part of an ongoing operation into the recent letter bomb incidents.”

The news comes just hours after Neil Lennon was attacked on the touchline at Tynecastle by a Hearts fan after Celtic scored their second goal of the game.
