St.Johnstone’s Steven Brown elected to SPL Board of Directors

The SPL have announced this afternoon that St. Johnstone Director Steven Brown has been elected to the SPL Board of Directors, replacing Motherwell’s Stewart Robertson following his resignation.

Brown is the son of Club Chairman Geoff Brown, and is also Managing Director of GS Brown Construction. He was appointed to the St. Johnstone board in 2004, and is a life-long Perth Saints fan, not to mention a well-travelled member of the Tartan Army.

He now joins Ralph Topping (SPL Chairman), Neil Doncaster (SPL Chief Executive), Eric Riley (Celtic FC), Rod Petrie (Hibernian FC) and Stewart Gilmour (St Mirren FC) on the six-man SPL Board of Directors.

Ralph Topping, Chairman, said, “On behalf of the Board and the Clubs I would like to thank Stewart for his time and valued input during his term; and welcome Steven to the Board.”
