SPL Post-Split Fixtures revealed and Iain Blair explains

The Post-Split fixtures have been revealed by the SPL and the SPL Secretary Iain Blair explained how the fixtures are determined, “The most important thing is to try to ensure clubs finish the season having played 19 games at home and 19 away. We are pleased to say this has been achieved for 2010/11, although in the past some clubs have had 18 home fixtures and 20 away or vice versa.”

We already know that the last Old Firm derby of the season will take place on the 24th April, with a kick off at 12.30pm, and Iain Blair explained the scheduling decision. He said, “It is well understood that we seek to minimise the likelihood of the Old Firm derby being a title decider. With the championship race being close it made sense to schedule this game soon after the split and round 34 was decided upon following consultation with the police and the clubs.”

Because of ludicrous copyright rulings preventing us from publishing the fixtures, by Football Dataco Limited, we cannot therefore publish the Post-split Fixtures on our site. But if you click the link at the bottom then you will be taken directly to the SPL website where the Fixtures are listed.
