Third Division outfit Montrose have confirmed the permanent appointment of Ray Farningham as the club’s new manager, with Stuart Garden named as First Team Coach with immediate effect.
A statement on the official website read, “Following Steven Tweed’s decision to step down 3 weeks ago the Directors asked Ray inconjunction with Stuart to assume responsibility for the management, coaching and team selection duties on a caretaker role.
“During that time they have impressed the players, Board of Directors and supporters with their positive approach therefore, the club is mindful the management team is settled to allow them sufficient time to consider player contracts and composition of the squad for next season.”
