John Boyle and Craig Brown referred to Disciplinary Committee

The SFA have confirmed that following Saturday’s incident at the end of the SPL match between Motherwell and Aberdeen, Motherwell Chairman John Boyle and Aberdeen manager Craig Brown will be referred to the SFA Disciplinary Committee.

The duo will be hauled in front of the Disciplinary Committee under the Scottish FA’s Articles of the Association, in particular Article 82.3, which states:

82. The Board shall have power to appoint a committee (“the Disciplinary Committee”) which shall:-

(3) be entitled to deal with acts of misconduct of any official of a club, club or recognised football body occurring before, during or after such matches, as aforesaid, and to take such action, including the imposition of any penalty as it considers may be merited against such official, club or recognised football body irrespective of whether or not a penalty has been imposed as a result of action by the match official

The duo will unlikely face the next committee in April and will probably face them in May, therefore Craig Brown will be free to sit in the dugout against Celtic on April 17th, in the Scottish Cup Semi Final.
