Partick Thistle demand compensation after late call off

Partick Thistle have announced that they will be writing to both the SFA and the SFL to request compensation after their match with Falkirk on 19th February was called off within an hour of the match kicking off.

The Official Statement on the Partick Thistle website said, “It is very disappointing that the Falkirk match was called off so late in the day. This is the second time both Falkirk and ourselves have been in this position.”

The Jags claim that the process of pitch inspections was flawed and that they “would ask the SFA/SFL to review their processes.”

Firhill passed an 11am pitch inspection, but failed a 2pm pitch inspection, which Partick claimed was “very inconvenient and expensive for both Clubs and their supporters. We will be writing to both the SFA and SFL in request of compensation.”
