After hundreds of votes cast over the course of the past month, the voting has ended and we announce our the top Scottish Football websites and to give out honourable mentions to others.
The Award Winners
TheFootyBlog.net – Scott Johnston’s site topped the voting tables of our readers, and the talented writer more than warrants his place in our top five websites let alone top spot.
While his site may not be the most attractive in terms of design, the articles more than make up for it. He reports on not just Scottish Football, but also World Football as a whole. Congratulations to Scott on his place in our Best Scottish Football site.
Inside Left – It may be in hibernation because of work commitments of it’s Editor Seb Gevers, but the Dutch-based Aberdeen fan is still thought of highly by his readers, and work colleagues 😉 as his site has been voted second in our web awards.
And with knowing Seb on and off for a while and following Inside Left since it’s inception he is a worthy nominee to say the least.
Rangersmedia – The Rangers supporters site and forum came third in our readers votes. The guys over at RM are dedicated to bring Rangers fans the latest news on the Ibrox club. Their forum is one of the most popular Rangers forums on the net and their historical archive – Rangerspedia – is top notch.
Congratulations to the guys at RM worthy of their third place.
Scottish Football Forums – It may not be a Pie & Bovril, but it’s members think it’s great. Certainly Craig over at SFF is very welcoming to all members, and the banter on the forum ranges from the usual football banter to the latest weird and wacky video on YouTube.
If you are fed up of the usual cliche groups within the bigger forums join the SFF for relaxed, passionate and hassle free banter.
Scottish Football Blog – A blog of the highest order – SFB ranks as one of the best Scottish Football Blogs on the net today.
It is feature laden and discusses the major issues in our game today. Blogger Tom Hall, a Hibs fan, is dedicated to covering the Scottish game, primarily the SPL and Scotland. The only downside? Tom has a phobia of eyes – only a Hibee!
Honourable Mentions must go out to the likes of Follow Follow, Kerrydale Street, The Terrace Radio Football Podcast, CQN and Gibfootballshow. Who were all superbly supported also.
Sadly there were a few votes that were reminiscent of a US Presidential Election. Numerous multiple votes were cast which had to be nullified to prevent cheating. But for the most part everyone behaved themselves.
Well done to all the award recipients.
