Celtic’s Izaguirre linked with Manchester United and Aston Villa

According to reports in the media today, Celtic full back Emilio Izaguirre is being watched by English Premier League sides, Manchester United and Aston Villa. The Honduran’s start to his career at Parkhead has according to reports in his homeland has attracted Ferguson and Houiller.

With Evra first choice at Man United, Izaguirre would be nothing other than a back up to the Frenchman, but they could offer Belgian Under 21 player Ritchie de Laet in part exchange when the transfer window opens on New Years Day.

And it has also been reported that Villa manager Gerard Houillier has been keeping an eye on Izaguirre.

Meanwhile it looks like on loan goalkeeper Fraser Forster will return to Newcastle in January, after Manchester City keeper Shay Given is set to be granted a move away from Eastlands on loan, after informing manager Roberto Mancini that he is not happy being understudy to on-form Joe Hart.
